Kim Thanh voters worry about teacher shortage

Comrade Bui Van Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary, Head of the National Office acknowledged the opinions and contributions of voters of Kim Thanh district.

On the morning of September 30, comrade Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Office and delegates: Trieu The Hung, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education; Nguyen Ngoc Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Dinh Thi Ngoc Dung, Hai Duong Province Drug Rehabilitation Center met with voters of Kim Thanh district at the Phu Thai town cultural house.

At the meeting, voters made recommendations to solve many issues related toeducation and training, especially the shortage of teachers.

Voters of Kim Thanh district petitioned the National Assembly to soon promulgate the Law on Teachers because this is a fundamental solution to overcome the current shortage of teachers in Kim Thanh district as well as many other localities.

Voters reported that many schools in Kim Thanh district do not have teachers to teach on contract. Regular teachers have to shoulder this work. The number of teaching hours must be paid for by the school, but the province currently only provides funding for actual contracts at the school. We request that the province provide sufficient funding according to the number of contracts assigned.

Voters also reflected that Circular 20/2023 of the Ministry of Education and Training guiding job positions, staff structure and quotas for the number of people working in general education institutions and public specialized schools only provides guidance for classes teaching general education programs at the same level. However, the quotas for the number of teachers performing elementary vocational training, coordinating vocational training, and surveying learning needs according to tasks have not been specifically guided. Voters requested that ministries and branches soon issue specific guidelines, creating conditions for the arrangement of recruitment of civil servants, improving the quality of activities of Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers.

Comrade Pham Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Thanh district answered many opinions and recommendations of voters.

Along with the education sector, voters reflected that the current facilities of Kim Thanh District Medical Center and many medical stations in the district are degraded, lacking equipment, lacking high-quality human resources... Voters requested that superiors soon have appropriate remuneration policies, invest in modern equipment to create a positive working environment, promote professional capacity, and retain qualified and professional doctors.

Voters of Phu Thai town proposed that the Central Government and the province soon invest in expanding National Highway 17B; resolve environmental pollution at construction material, coal and mineral trading sites; speed up the process of granting land use right certificates...

At the meeting, comrade Pham Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Thanh district answered many opinions and recommendations of voters of Kim Thanh district.

Comrade Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary, and Head of the National Assembly Office, acknowledged the opinions and contributions of voters in Kim Thanh district and requested the local government to continue to receive and clearly respond to voters' opinions within its authority.
