Ms. Duong Thi Cong Ly, Director of the Hue Branch of Vietnam Tourism Joint Stock Company - Hanoi, said that some historical sites and tombs, located in high-lying areas not prone to flooding, can still be visited by tourists. “We also flexibly coordinate with tourists to adjust and replace outdoor experiences with indoor ones, such as learning about and experiencing enamelware, bamboo paper making, incense making, etc.”
One of the recommended destinations for visitors is the Hue Traditional Craft Exhibition and Demonstration Space located at 15 Le Loi Street, Hue City. Besides individual visitors, several organizations also collaborate to bring tourists here to experience and learn about the cultural aspects of Hue's traditional crafts.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chau Mai, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “It’s quite unfortunate that I arrived in Hue during the rainy season and couldn’t check in at the beautiful destinations. But because of that, I learned more about interesting traditional crafts in Hue.”
Due to heavy rain, tourists visiting Hue were unable to go out and explore, and had to stay in their hotels. Mr. Ho Dang Xuan Lan, Chairman of the Hue City Hotel Association and General Director of Parkview Hue Hotel, said that with a higher number of guests staying at the hotel, the establishment had to concentrate its resources and improve service quality, especially focusing on on-site services such as restaurants and spas.

Mr. Do Ngoc Co, Chairman of the Hue City Tourism Association, said that due to the heavy rain and flooding, many tourism business activities have been disrupted, affecting about 60-70% of tours. Most domestic tourists have chosen to postpone or cancel their tours, but international tourists have been less affected. To ensure safety, travel agencies have proactively coordinated and agreed with customers to adjust the itinerary, cutting or changing destinations to suit the weather conditions and ensure safety. The safety of tourists remains the top priority.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Hao, Director of Hue Tourism Investment & Service Joint Stock Company (Huetourist), about 60% of tour programs have been affected by the floods. Many tours to Thuy Bieu and Tam Giang have had to be adjusted, postponed, or canceled to ensure the safety of lives and property of tourists and tourism workers. “In Thuy Bieu, we are enhancing experiences with the locals regarding cuisine, herbal foot baths, etc.,” Mr. Hao shared.

Given the complex and unpredictable weather conditions, the tourism industry and relevant units are currently implementing adaptive measures and proactively responding to the situation.
Mr. Vo Hoang Lien Minh, Chief of the Office of the Department of Tourism, said that the Department of Tourism has directed its units to require tourism service businesses to proactively implement plans to prevent and mitigate the effects of storms and heavy rain, inspect and reinforce infrastructure, especially in coastal areas, rivers, lakes, streams, waterfalls, and areas at risk of landslides and flooding. Tours and recreational activities in dangerous areas should not be organized; the safety of tourists must be absolutely ensured. Units have also assigned staff to be on duty 24/7, ready to coordinate with local authorities and relevant agencies to promptly handle any situations that may arise.Source: https://huengaynay.vn/du-lich/dieu-chinh-cac-tour-du-lich-trong-dieu-kien-mua-lu-159138.html
