On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Mong Cai City organized a reception for the first tourists to enter the country through Mong Cai international border gate. On this occasion, Mong Cai City leaders came to present flowers and wish the first visitors a happy new year.
A group of 350 tourists completed immigration procedures to enter Vietnam through Mong Cai International Border Gate. Authorities provided specific instructions, followed the correct procedures, and assisted tourists in entering the country quickly.
Representatives of Mong Cai City leaders presented flowers, lucky money and best wishes to the first tourists to visit in the new year.
It is expected that on the first day of the new year of At Ty 2025, Mong Cai international border gate will have 12,186 tourists entering through Mong Cai city to visit some locations in Quang Ninh province and Vietnam.
During the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, the city will welcome about 90,000 visitors (an increase of about 15% compared to the same period in 2024). This promises to be a favorable opening signal for Mong Cai tourism to continue to flourish and make a breakthrough in 2025.
Mr. Hoang Ba Nam, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Mong Cai City Party Committee, said: The city has requested border authorities to reform administrative procedures, especially immigration procedures, to help tourists enter the country as quickly as possible. Travel agencies and tourism companies organize tours and routes to heritage sites and unique destinations in Mong Cai City and Quang Ninh Province; the trips must ensure safety and civilization. The city's goal in 2025 is to welcome 4 million visitors, including over 2.5 million international visitors. Thereby, continuing to affirm Mong Cai as a green, smart, friendly and safe tourist city, an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
