The Department of Roads requires a review of passenger transport routes after administrative unit arrangement.

On July 8, the Ministry of Construction said that three sections of the North-South expressway, including Vung Ang - Bung, Van Ninh - Cam Lo and Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan, are expected to open to traffic on August 19.

Accordingly, in 2025, about 889km of 17 projects invested by the Ministry of Construction will be completed. Among the 12 component projects of the North - South Expressway Phase 2 (2021 - 2025), the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Bung - Van Ninh sections and 70km of the Van Phong - Nha Trang route have been put into operation since April 30.

By August 19, an additional 208km of expressway will be completed, including the 55km Vung Ang - Bung section; the 65km Van Ninh - Cam Lo section; the 11km Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section through Da Nang city, coinciding with Ho Chi Minh road; the remaining 13km of the Van Phong - Nha Trang section will also be completed, along with some partially opened sections such as Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon (10/88km), Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon (45/70km), Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh (20/62km). The Ministry of Construction aims to complete all remaining North - South expressway component projects by December this year.
