On the afternoon of October 4, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to organize the program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen", presenting 100 gifts to fishermen including: batteries, LED lights, battery combos, medicine bags, and handbooks. At the same time, the organizing committee also awarded 25 scholarships to students who are children of fishermen's families who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.
The program gave away 100 gifts including: batteries, LED lights, battery combos... to Ha Tinh fishermen.
At the program, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper Nguyen Duc Hien said that Ha Tinh is the 17th locality where Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper organizes the program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen".

The program is organized to propagate and raise awareness of law compliance for fishermen when fishing and exploiting at sea to implement the action plan to remove the IUU yellow card issued by the Prime Minister ; contributing to the development of Vietnam's fisheries industry more and more sustainably.
Through 16 times of organization, the program has directly visited and given more than 3,000 gifts to fishermen (worth nearly 15 billion VND); examined and distributed free medicine to thousands of fishermen. The program has also awarded more than 500 scholarships (with a total value of more than 1 billion VND) and many other valuable gifts such as school supplies, milk, food to children of fishermen who have overcome difficulties to study well.
