Diverse activities at Book Day and reading culture in CAND in 2025

Major General, People's Artist Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, said that the Department of Political Work has reported and received approval from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to organize the Book and Reading Culture Day in the Public Security Forces in 2025. Within the framework of the event, there will be many activities.

At the meeting to deploy the plan of the Ministry of Public Security on organizing activities in response to the Book and Reading Culture Day in the People's Public Security Forces in 2025, organized by the Department of Political Work on the morning of March 14 in Hanoi , the Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work requested the units to discuss carefully and unify the contents of organizing the activities in the most systematic way. He also requested that the activities must be rich in content and form of organization, focusing on the theme of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces, and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

The Organizing Committee plans that the activities in response to the 2025 Vietnamese Book and Reading Culture Day of the Ministry of Public Security will include 6 activities, held in April 2025, focusing on the 2025 Book and Reading Culture Day in the People's Public Security; Book exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, etc.

The Book and Reading Culture Day in the Public Security Forces with the theme “The Public Security Forces develop reading culture and promote lifelong learning in the digital age” will open on the morning of April 17 in Hanoi.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also has many activities such as continuing to implement the program of building "Ho Chi Minh Bookshelf" in the People's Public Security; summarizing and awarding the contest of Reading Culture Ambassador in the People's Public Security...

The book exhibition with the theme "Welcoming the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025 and the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Public Security Forces April 30, 1945 - April 30, 2025" took place from April 16 to 18, displaying books about the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; publications about the people's armed forces, the glorious feats of the People's Public Security Forces; about culture, economics, politics - society, law, security, military, science and technology... The book exhibition area of the units participating in the exhibition includes: display booths, book exhibitions of libraries, publishers, digital library equipment, digital documents and digital reading devices...

The Ministry-level scientific workshop "Digital transformation program of libraries in the People's Public Security until 2025, orientation to 2030: opportunities and challenges" will take place in May 2025. In addition, the Ministry of Public Security will organize a discussion and exchange with authors and works "Some typical literary works in the People's Public Security" to contribute to the propaganda and promotion of literary and artistic works, contributing to building a cultural environment in the People's Public Security towards the 50th anniversary of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification at the People's Public Security Library. The program "Book exchange and book donation festival" will take place from April 5 to 29 at the People's Public Security Library....
