Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Huoai district has deployed a plan to implement the Safe Swimming Program to prevent and combat child drowning in the district by 2025.

In particular, agencies, units and localities organize many specific activities such as: promoting information and propaganda activities to raise awareness of Party committees at all levels, authorities, mass organizations, families, schools and the whole society about the effects of swimming practice to help children know how to swim, practice safety skills to prevent drowning accidents, improve health, develop physical strength, stature, determination and will for children.

The People's Committee of Dam Rong district said it is implementing measures to ensure safety and prevent drowning accidents, especially for children during the summer vacation.

In Dam Rong district, there are currently many ponds and reservoirs serving agricultural production that have not implemented safety measures.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Dam Rong district has directed communes to strengthen direction, inspection and supervision of child drowning prevention and control work, to prevent child drowning cases from occurring in the area; to prepare adequate means and equipment to effectively carry out rescue, search and rescue, and timely treatment of cases of children with injuries and drowning.

Localities also step up propaganda work, instructing households to regularly check and promptly detect locations and areas at risk of accidents for children in order to take preventive and remedial measures to eliminate the risk of drowning accidents for children; propagating people not to bring children to work in areas with ponds, lakes, rivers, streams or to have measures to closely monitor and manage children during the time they are not in school.

Coordinate with units to review and warn of dangers in areas and locations at risk of drowning accidents such as beaches, rivers, lakes, streams, canals, ditches, ponds, wells, deep holes, deep and dangerous water areas, water storage structures, construction areas with water holes, deep holes; especially ponds managed by households...; deploy preventive and remedial measures such as: building railings, fences, warning signs, watchtowers...
