Da Nang hosts golf tourism conference, attracts high-quality visitors

(NLDO) - Da Nang City wants to promote the image of golf tourism, along with a system of 5-star hotels and resorts through hosting the Asian Golf Tourism Congress.

On the afternoon of March 31, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City held a press conference to announce the opening of the Asian Golf Tourism Convention - AGTC 2025, with 33 countries and territories participating.

The program takes place until April 5 in Da Nang City, including main activities such as: survey for golf travel agencies, golf championship, golf tourism conference...

Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, said that hosting the 2025 Asian Golf Tourism Congress is an opportunity for the city to introduce its outstanding tourism potential, promote the image of golf tourism, along with a system of 5-star hotels and resorts, beautiful natural landscapes, and high-class tourism services.

Da Nang hosts the 2025 Asian Golf Tourism Convention, taking place from March 30 to April 5.

This event also helps the city position itself on the regional and international golf tourism map and opens up many opportunities for cooperation and investment to develop golf tourism and luxury tourism.

According to Mr. Peter Walton, President of the World Golf Tourism Association, the Asian Golf Tourism Congress first came to Da Nang in 2017. At that time, there were only 4 golf courses in Da Nang and the Central region. Up to now, Da Nang and the Central region have a total of 8 international-class golf courses.

Mr. Peter Walton hopes the success of the event will promote the sustainable development of golf tourism in Da Nang and the Central region.

According to Mr. Peter Walton, AGTC 2025 creates a lot of value for the destination of Da Nang. In particular, 168 travel companies specializing in golf tourism will have the opportunity to experience the resorts and golf courses here, many of them coming to Da Nang for the first time.

Over 4,500 meetings are scheduled between international tour operators and golf tourism service providers at the congress. These meetings will generate increased revenue for golf destinations in Asia, Vietnam and especially Da Nang.

The event attracts leading travel companies from 33 countries and territories to expand their markets, helping Da Nang's golf tourism industry no longer depend too much on one or two source markets.
