Accordingly, at around 2:00 p.m. on November 18, at the mountain top above the two villages of Aroi and A Ting (Hung Son commune), there was a loud explosion, accompanied by muddy stream water, fallen trees, and a landslide of about 30 meters of land. These signs indicate the risk of further landslides, directly threatening the safety of local people.
Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Hung Son commune urgently evacuated 9 households with 40 people to Gari School and the old Gari Commune People's Committee headquarters to ensure people's safety. Local authorities continue to closely monitor developments and advise people not to approach areas at risk of landslides and to be ready to move when there is a new announcement.

Previously, at around 1:30 p.m. on November 17, 2025, in Dam 2 village, Hung Son commune, a landslide occurred on the negative slope behind Mr. Zo Ram Nai's house, about 20 meters long. Mr. Nai's household has 6 members, posing a high risk of insecurity. Upon receiving the news, the Border Guard Station's local team promptly advised the village People's Committee, mobilizing the family to move people and property out of the dangerous area, ensuring the safety of the household members.
Also on November 17, Ch'nóc village in Hùng Sơn commune was completely isolated with 121 households/519 people because old landslides had not been repaired, prolonged heavy rain continued to cause many new landslides to appear on the mountain slopes and hillsides, posing a very high risk. The constant movement of rocks and soil made the area even more dangerous and seriously isolated.

The commune authorities are mobilizing vehicles, machinery and human resources, ready to take advantage of the time when the weather is stable to approach, assess the scene and reopen the entrance to the village. During the isolation period, the commune authorities are coordinating with the people to transport necessities, food and drinking water inside to ensure the lives of the people.
Hung Son Commune is one of the localities in Da Nang city that suffered a lot of damage in this flood. This is where the landslide occurred on November 14, leaving 3 people missing; many people's properties were buried by rocks and soil.
Military Region 5 and rescue forces have mobilized a large number of people, equipment and sniffer dogs to the scene to search for the missing people. However, due to the continuous rain, the hill soil is soggy, the rescue work cannot be carried out continuously. Currently, the rescue forces are still waiting for favorable weather to carry out the search.
