Da Nang inaugurates a hundred billion square to celebrate National Day

On the evening of August 30, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held an inauguration ceremony for the project to upgrade and restore the City Monument and renovate and expand the March 29 Square (Hai Chau District). This is a project to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

The above two items are implemented in 2 phases with 3 sub-areas, with a total investment of more than 212 billion VND.

Da Nang City leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project to restore the Memorial and expand the March 29 Square.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh shared that the project represents the fine tradition of remembering the source of water, paying tribute to the nation's heroic martyrs, a symbol of the indomitable spirit and rich revolutionary tradition of the heroic land of Quang Nam - Da Nang.

According to Mr. Chinh, the project was carried out over 2 years with special attention and direction from city leaders.

"We hope that the city memorial and 29/3 Square will continue to be an attractive place toeducate the young generations about the tradition of remembering the source of water when drinking water, the revolutionary spirit, promoting the good qualities of the people and land of Da Nang; nurturing the aspiration to build the country and build an increasingly developed city," said Mr. Chinh.

The Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee added that this will be a place for people and tourists to come and have fun and relax with many cultural and artistic activities, contributing to improving spiritual life.
