The renowned travel website Time Out commented that Da Nang, a coastal city in Vietnam, is not crowded, has many entertainment options and culinary experiences, and meets the criteria for inclusion on its list.
In December, Da Nang launched its first tourism product, the Da Nang Food Tour campaign. The city's Department of Tourism developed a website to help tourists find information about local cuisine and provided 10,000 culinary passports for visitors to experience the food at 50 restaurants recommended by the city.
In 2025, Da Nang plans to implement a series of themed culinary tourism products such as street food, fine dining, and festivals, with the expectation of establishing its position on the world culinary tourism map.
Da Nang's tourism products will also be revamped and put into operation in 2025, including the "Revolution Express" steam train, which has been restored to its original form. The train operates on the Hue - Da Nang railway line, passing through Hai Van Pass, the most beautiful section of the North-South railway line with sections through passes, railway bridges, and tunnels.
Leading the list of top travel destinations in Asia for next year is Sumba, Indonesia's pristine island with picturesque beaches, according to Time Out. Second is Siargao Island, a popular surfing spot in the Philippines.
The remaining positions on the list are Tainan (China), Ipoh (Malaysia), Osaka (Japan), Nan (Thailand), and Lijiang (China), respectively.
