Quang Ngai delegates give comments on education modernization program

Continuing the program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the morning of November 25, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of U Huan province and delegates of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ngai province participated in the discussion at Group 02 on the important investment policy of the National Assembly on the National Target Program on Education, Training and Health for the period 2026 - 2035. National Assembly delegates of Quang Ngai province gave many comments on the program of modernizing education and training.

Discussing the investment policy of the National Target Program on modernization and improvement of education and training quality for the period 2026-2035, delegates agreed on the necessity of issuing resolutions and program objectives, especially the policy of making English the second language in schools. This is the right direction in the context of international integration. Regarding the goal of having 30% of preschool and general education institutions qualified to implement teaching and learning English as a second language by 2030, delegates said that the new program focuses on material facilities requirements.

To ensure quality, it is necessary to invest synchronously in facilities and teacher training, implemented in parallel so that the trained staff can meet teaching standards at upgraded facilities, especially with bilingual programs. At the same time, it is necessary to clearly define the implementation roadmap for each year. Concerned about the feasibility of large capital sources in the next phase, delegates proposed to review and supplement solutions in addition to capital mobilization and adjust the funding structure to facilitate monitoring and supervision. Delegates also suggested adding other elements in the solution group and operating mechanism to ensure completeness and effectiveness.
