The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025-2030

On October 31 and November 1, at the Cam Duong Ward Conference Center, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025-2030, was solemnly held with the participation of 380 official delegates and 185 invited delegates.

Attending and directing the Congress were comrades: Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front ; Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lao Cai province.

Immediately after completing the arrangement and consolidation according to the 2-level local government model and the provincial consolidation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province promptly agreed on working regulations, clearly defined the key work program, assigned specific tasks, and provided professional guidance to the commune-level Fatherland Front Committees, ensuring smooth operation.

The Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations at all levels have focused on innovation, improving work efficiency, building and maintaining a two-way information system between the Fatherland Front and the people; promoting the role of the Fatherland Front Working Committee in residential areas; contributing to strengthening social consensus and maintaining political stability in the locality.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have chaired consultations and coordinated with member organizations to mobilize people to contribute resources, donate more than 700,000 square meters of land to open roads; repair and build new 716 kilometers of canals, 860 kilometers of rural roads... at the same time, mobilized and supported the "Fund for the Poor" and social security programs with more than 349 billion VND.

The Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central organizations and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front determined that the General Secretary's directive speech is the compass, the orientation, and the strategy for the work of the front in the new period.

In that spirit, in the coming term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province needs to perform well a number of key tasks such as: Focusing on consolidating the great national unity bloc, effectively implementing Resolution 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country increasingly prosperous and happy".

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province continues the motto "Taking people as the root", listening, grasping people's thoughts, caring for people's lives, strengthening people's trust in the Party and government, improving the quality of supervision and social criticism with the spirit of "clear work, clear responsibility, clear effectiveness".

The province has deployed the model of "Listening to People's Voice Month" in all communes and wards, serving as a bridge for dialogue between the Party, the government and the people; Strengthened the prevention and fight against corruption and waste; supervised public service, cadres and party members openly and transparently; Innovated emulation and mobilization movements in a practical and widespread direction; developed a community security model, mobilizing the strength of all classes of people; Continued to improve the organization, building a team of steadfast, dedicated and creative Front cadres.

Agreeing and highly agreeing with the above direction, comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lao Cai province affirmed: In the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Lao Cai province has clearly demonstrated its political mettle, intelligence and social responsibility, not only as a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, but also as a flag of solidarity, humanity, gathering the will, belief and aspirations of the people in the period of innovation and integration.

This is the foundation, premise and solid support for the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to overcome difficulties, unleash resources, comprehensively complete socio-economic development goals, ensure national defense and security, build a clean and strong Party and political system; making an important contribution to completing the set goals for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress approved four breakthrough contents for the coming term: Strongly innovating the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations; mobilizing, guiding and supporting union members, association members and people of all walks of life to start businesses, innovate and create; organizing the "Month of listening to people speak" activity, annually organizing dialogues with union members, association members and people; agreeing on six Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress also elected 114 comrades to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term I, 2025-2030. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term I, consists of 8 comrades. Comrade Giang Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, holds the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Giang Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province emphasized: We are deeply aware that honor always comes with responsibility; the belief of the Congress is an order of action for each member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

The first Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will carry out five tasks.

One is to continue to consolidate and promote the strength of great national unity; to build the Front into a true center of unity, a solid bridge between the Party, the government and the people.

Second is to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; listen to and accompany the people; closely connect with the people's lives, thoughts, and legitimate aspirations.

Third is to promote patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns, arousing the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, humanity and responsibility for the community.

Fourth is to promote the role of member organizations and people of all walks of life, creating a combined strength to build Lao Cai province into a green, harmonious, unique, and happy province.

The fifth is to build a team of Front cadres who are dedicated, responsible, close to the people, understand the people, work for the people, and are worthy of being trusted representatives of the people.

With the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Creativity-Development", the collective of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term I, will unite, strive, continue the tradition, overcome difficulties, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Fatherland Front Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.
