Hoang Liet Ward Sports Festival attracts more than 2,000 athletes

On the morning of October 26, the People's Committee of Hoang Liet Ward opened the 1st Sports Festival in 2025, with the participation of more than 2,000 athletes.

In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee Bui Thi Ngoc Thuy said that the Congress demonstrated the spirit of innovation - solidarity - creativity - development, affirming the determination of the Party Committee, government and people in building Hoang Liet Ward to be civilized, modern, and affectionate, worthy of being one of the key areas in the South of Hanoi Capital.

The congress organized 8 sports , including: Table tennis, senior sports, pickleball, soccer, folk dance, tug of war, swimming, and volleyball. Up to now, the ward has successfully organized 7 out of 8 competitions.

The competitions attracted the participation of thousands of athletes from 39 residential groups belonging to 21 Party cells, schools, the Police, the Military, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. The exciting, enthusiastic, united, honest and noble atmosphere of the competition truly became a festival for all the people of Hoang Liet ward.

At the opening ceremony, there was a parade of 32 blocks, a sports performance, martial arts and cultural performances; especially the participation of hundreds of artists from the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater created the uniqueness and scale of the art program with the theme "Solidarity Sports, Hoang Liet Reaches High".
