Phu Thuong spreads the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland"

The event was organized to contribute to promoting the mass sports movement, improving people's health and spiritual life, towards the goal of building Phu Thuong people to develop comprehensively in the new period.

In his opening speech, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Thuong Ward, Do Dinh Son, emphasized: The first Ward Sports Congress is a special event, marking a new development step of the mass sports movement after the ward was officially established under the new administrative model.

This Sports Festival is an opportunity to encourage and arouse the sports spirit in each citizen, agency, unit, and residential group; at the same time, discover and nurture young talents, and prepare a force of athletes representing the ward to participate in the City-level Sports Festival.

The congress had the participation of more than 1,000 athletes, competing in 8 sports, including: Men's football, table tennis, badminton, chess, Chinese chess, volleyball, swimming and sports parade.

Competition activities within the framework of the Congress will take place from October to November 2025. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held solemnly to honor the collectives and individuals with high achievements, continuing to affirm the role and value of the sports movement in social life.

With the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", the 1st Phu Thuong Ward Sports Congress - 2025 is not only a festival of health, solidarity and aspiration to rise, but also a symbol of the strong vitality of a new Phu Thuong - dynamic, rich in tradition, pioneering in building cultural life, urban civilization, contributing to the sustainable development of the ward and Hanoi Capital.
