General Phan Van Giang attended the Great Unity Day in Thai Nguyen

(Dan Tri) - General Phan Van Giang emphasized that national solidarity is a precious tradition of our nation. The Party and President Ho Chi Minh always attach importance to building, consolidating and expanding the great national solidarity bloc.

On the morning of November 16, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense , attended and celebrated the National Great Unity Day with the people of Dong residential group (Linh Son ward, Thai Nguyen province).

Dong residential group currently has 382 households with 1,326 people, people mainly work in the trade and service sector; 100% of households have solidly built houses, with full access to electricity; the traffic system is concreted, convenient for travel and trade.

General Phan Van Giang sent his warm regards to the people of Dong residential group and congratulated them on their proud achievements in building a united and developed community in recent times.

The General emphasized that national solidarity is a precious tradition of our nation. Our Party and President Ho Chi Minh always attach importance to building, consolidating and expanding the great national solidarity bloc.

According to him, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups and religions are increasingly consolidated, strengthened and promoted.

Recognizing the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the forces and people of Thai Nguyen, especially in overcoming the consequences of recent natural disasters, the Minister of National Defense commended the province's outstanding socio-economic results.

To promote the achieved results, General Phan Van Giang suggested that in the coming time, all levels, sectors and local people continue to strengthen propaganda, thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's policies and laws; pay attention to social security work and people's lives; strongly promote the patriotic emulation movement, promptly commend, honor and replicate advanced models, arouse the desire to contribute and the spirit of creativity in all classes of people.

The General believes that with the tradition of solidarity, studiousness and revolution, together with the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, the efforts of the Party Committee and the government, and the consensus of the people, the residential area of ​​Dong residential group in particular, Linh Son ward and Thai Nguyen province in general will continue to develop strongly, becoming a bright spot in the economy - society, national defense - security, culture and people in the new era.

On this occasion, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense presented paintings of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton; presented gifts to Linh Son ward, Dong residential area and 100 policy households, near-poor households, and households in especially difficult circumstances...

At the Festival, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense and delegates visited the model of sharing and connecting love wardrobe of the Ward Women's Union, the model of my vegetable bed of the Ward Farmers' Association; and participated in cultural activities in the Festival with the people of Dong residential group.
