General Phan Van Giang attends ADMM-18, 11th ADMM+

On November 19-21, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense led a high-ranking delegation to attend the 18th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting (ADMM), the 11th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM+), and the informal meetings of ASEAN-China and ASEAN-US Defense Ministers in Vientiane, Laos.

The working trip was at the invitation of General Chansamone Chanyalath, member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Laos.

Through these conferences, Vietnam continues to affirm its role as a proactive, active, and responsible member of ASEAN in general, and in ASEAN defense and military cooperation in particular, contributing to promoting defense cooperation within ASEAN as well as between ASEAN and its partners in an increasingly practical and effective manner.
