On the evening of November 3, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van chaired an emergency meeting to deploy response measures to storm No. 13 - Kalmaegi, a storm forecast to have a strong intensity of over level 12, a complex movement direction and the ability to directly affect the Central Central and Central Highlands regions, including Dak Lak .
The meeting was connected online to 34 points in the eastern region of the province, with the participation of leaders of departments, branches, armed forces and local authorities.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the water levels of rivers and reservoirs are still stable below alert level 1, but from now until November 9, Dak Lak may experience widespread heavy rain, with the risk of flash floods and landslides, some places exceeding alert level 3. It is forecasted that from November 6 to the morning of November 7, heavy rain may cause urban flooding, water on some rivers will rise to alert level 2, requiring special attention to safety in landslide areas and construction sites.
In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van praised the proactive and urgent spirit of the localities; at the same time, he requested to concretize the direction with practical actions, and promptly update information to the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention. Localities along rivers and low-lying areas must evacuate people to safe places, inspect key projects, guide boats to anchor and take shelter safely, and absolutely not let people stay on their vehicles when the storm makes landfall.

Currently, the Military , Police and Border Guard forces have been mobilized to key areas to support evacuation and ensure the safety of residents, while functional sectors prepare supplies, vehicles, food, gasoline, essential goods, and are ready to respond in case of emergency.
