On November 9, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung inspected the damage recovery situation caused by storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13) and visited the lives of people in Quy Nhon Dong ward, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune and De Gi commune.
In localities, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung shared the difficulties with the authorities and people about the serious damage caused by the storm.

Visiting cases of houses completely collapsed due to storm No. 13 in localities, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung encouraged and gave gifts to the families.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested communes and wards to resolutely and effectively carry out the work of overcoming the consequences of the storm, and promptly support families to rebuild their houses to stabilize their lives.
“In the immediate future, localities must ensure that people do not lack food, clothing, or shelter; focus on repairing essential infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, telecommunications, and schools. It is necessary to organize environmental cleaning and repair of agency and unit headquarters to ensure that activities soon return to normal,” Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung noted.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung gave 60 million VND to each of 20 families whose houses were completely collapsed in 3 localities to rebuild their houses and 150 gifts to those affected by storm No.
According to the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, storm No. 13 caused great damage, with preliminary estimates showing total economic damage of more than 5,200 billion VND.
Previously on November 8, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung worked with Gia Lai province on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13.
He requested the province to urgently support people to overcome housing damage and ensure social security so that people can soon stabilize their lives.
Ministry of Public Security gives 20 tons of goods to support people in Dak Lak affected by storm
On November 9, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Civil Defense Command (Ministry of Public Security), visited and supported the people of Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of storm Kalmaegi.
The working delegation presented 300 gifts including 20 tons of food, goods and essential necessities to 300 households severely damaged by the storm in Xuan Canh, Xuan Lanh and Dong Xuan communes (Dak Lak).

As soon as the relief goods were delivered, the Dak Lak Provincial Police force was asked to coordinate with local authorities to urgently distribute and promptly give them to households affected by the storm.
Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen encouraged and shared with people who suffered damage due to storm Kalmaegi and asked the police force to continue helping families who suffered heavy damage caused by the storm.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen praised the proactive spirit of serving and supporting people in difficult and dangerous times of officers and soldiers of Dak Lak Provincial Police in responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm Kalmaegi.
At the same time, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented gifts from Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang to the police force on duty to prevent and fight storms and floods in Dak Lak.

Previously, Dak Lak Provincial Police mobilized 4,700 officers and soldiers to support people in responding to storm Kalmaegi. Many people injured and trapped by storms and floods were rescued by the police force and taken to hospitals and safe shelters.
After the storm, Dak Lak Provincial Police mobilized 100 more officers and soldiers to carry out storm recovery work to help people stabilize their lives soon.
