This year's Ky Yen Thuong Dien Festival at Binh Thuy Communal House takes place over 3 days, from May 9 to 11 (from April 12 to 14 of the lunar calendar). The ceremony begins with the ritual of taking the Sac Than on a tour, followed by the Te Son Quan, Te Dinh Cong Chanh Ton Than, Thay Khan Sac Than, Tuc Yet, Xay Chau Dai Boi, Te Than Nong, Chanh Te... The rituals are performed according to ancient customs. In addition, this year's festival has many exciting cultural - artistic, physical education - sports activities such as organizing booths to promote tourism, introduce typical products of districts in the city; displaying and exhibiting books and organizing a question and answer contest about the history and culture of Can Tho; Binh Thuy Delicious Cake Festival; Sweet Raspberry Competition; singing traditional opera and organizing a bicycle race.

Binh Thuy Communal House was built in 1844 and was conferred the title of Bon Canh Thanh Hoang by King Tu Duc in 1852. After many renovations, in the early 20th century, the people rebuilt the communal house as it is today right at Binh Thuy estuary with bricks and tiles and completed it in 1910. In 1989, Binh Thuy Communal House was recognized as a National Architectural and Artistic Relic. The Ky Yen Festival of Binh Thuy Communal House was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in January 2018.
