The Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc (DNTW) held a conference to review 5 years of implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" for the period 2019-2024 and commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Campaign of the Party Committee of the Bloc.
At the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), the implementation of Directive 03-CT/TW, dated May 19, 2021 of the Secretariat; Action Program No. 09-CT/ĐUK, dated November 11, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc on strengthening the Party's leadership over the Campaign has contributed to promoting the strength of the Group and its member units, increasing the efficiency of asset use, scale of operations, competitiveness and expanding the market for units; reducing common costs, spreading the PetroVietnam Culture on the awareness of brand building as well as building a culture of consumption, using domestic products, goods and services, contributing to changing the production and business mindset of manufacturers, processors and distributors of products and services, better meeting the requirements of the market and consumers.
Accordingly, the Group and its member units have continuously researched and innovated production and management technology, applied 7,085 technical innovation initiatives with a value of more than 9,000 billion VND, applied the world's advanced scientific and technological achievements in exploration, exploitation, and manufacturing technology... contributing to reducing costs, improving product and service quality, contributing to increasing the value of the PetroVietnam brand to 1.4 billion USD in 2023 (3 times higher than in 2019).
In addition, PetroVietnam also actively purchased office equipment and public investment with the value of using Vietnamese goods being 450 billion VND, the value of using raw materials and fuels for input in production and business reaching nearly 790 billion VND.
In addition to direct production and business activities, the Group's service activities account for an average of over 30% of the Group's total revenue each year and play an important role in completing PetroVietnam's production and business value chain (connecting and completing the oil and gas operation chain from upstream to downstream). Thereby increasing the initiative in E&P activities - the core activities of the Group (drilling services, rig building/repair services, rig service supply services...).
Contribute to stabilizing the cost of manufactured products (anti-dumping and price monopoly of foreign service providers); change the awareness of domestic officials and consumers and the trust of foreign partners in the products and services of the Group in particular and the units, banks and enterprises in the State-owned Enterprise Sector in general, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the country.
At the Conference, the Organizing Committee of the Campaign commended 15 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the period of 2019-2024. In the period of 2019-2024, the world and domestic economic situation has many fluctuations, climate change, natural disasters, storms and floods, Covid-19 pandemic... have significantly affected the production and business of corporations, general companies, banks, units in the Bloc. The Bloc Party Committee and its affiliated Party Committees have proactively grasped the situation, promptly directed enterprises to develop flexible plans and scenarios in the work of preventing and fighting epidemics, natural disasters, storms and floods and performing well the production and business tasks, implementing a number of solutions to connect units in the Bloc, promote products and services so that units actively cross-use each other's products and services among corporations, general companies, banks, units in the Bloc.
The Steering Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc and the Steering Committees of the affiliated Party Committees have proactively developed specific programs and plans, actively implemented the Campaign; directed and closely coordinated with the media in propaganda and information work about the Campaign; the Party Committees of corporations, general companies, banks, and units in the Bloc continue to fulfill their responsibilities for the Campaign, through directing enterprises and affiliated units to focus on promoting the application of information technology, e-commerce, digital transformation, innovating management, improving production capacity, competitiveness of products, goods, and services to consumers, developing distribution channels to ensure products, goods, and services to users with appropriate quality and prices.
Many product and service brands of corporations, general companies, banks, and units in the State-owned enterprises sector have been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as “National Brands” and have reached out to many countries around the world, and are favored by many customers, partners, and consumers. Thereby, marking the strong development of brands, contributing to enhancing the position and reputation of Vietnamese enterprises in the region and in the international arena.
The campaign was effectively and practically implemented by corporations, general companies, banks, and units in the Central Enterprises Bloc, making a clear change in creating the habit of using Vietnamese goods, stimulating the expansion of domestic production and consumption; increasing the rate of localization, promoting and introducing products and brands; expanding the market, especially in rural, remote and isolated areas, demonstrating an important role in ensuring the supply of essential goods and services such as food, foodstuffs, electricity, gasoline, post and telecommunications, banking system, etc.
The implementation of using Vietnamese goods and services in purchasing and investing in office equipment, raw materials, fuels and input materials in production and business is continued to be effectively implemented by corporations, general companies, banks and units in the Bloc. Enterprises in the Bloc continue to maintain and implement well the policy of using each other's products and services, affirming the efforts of alliance and association between Vietnamese enterprises in general and enterprises in the Bloc of State-owned enterprises in particular, thereby strengthening cooperative relations, promoting the use of each other's products and services, contributing to promoting the development of the country's economy. The results achieved through the Campaign have contributed to the completion of production and business tasks of enterprises in recent years.
