On September 1, the Vietnam Musicians Association in Thanh Hoa and the Music Department (Provincial Literature and Arts Association) organized a program to celebrate Vietnam Music Day (September 3) with the theme "Aspiration for Thanh land". This is also an activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

On September 26, 2014, the Prime Minister issued a Decision to make September 3 every year Vietnam Music Day.
