DTO - The People's Committee of Thap Muoi district has issued Plan No. 2201 dated April 28, 2022 on continuing to promote tourism development, contributing to building the local image in the period of 2021 - 2025. At the same time, coordinate with the Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations of the district to propagate and integrate with other key tasks of the district. Thereby, creating a positive change in the awareness of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people about tourism development to promote the image of Thap Muoi district.

To achieve the dual goal of both economic development and effective prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, Thap Muoi district has deployed a set of criteria for assessing safety in epidemic prevention and control in tourism activities and a plan to reopen tourism activities under new normal conditions. At the same time, the district's functional sector has guided tourist attractions, accommodation establishments, and food and beverage establishments to implement flexible, safe, and effective adaptive solutions after the Covid-19 pandemic is well controlled. To date, all tourist facilities, locations, and areas have resumed operations to serve tourists.
With the orientation of developing eco-tourism, community and spiritual tourism, in recent times, Thap Muoi district has been interested in upgrading and perfecting tourism products in the area. In particular, focusing on developing tourist destinations associated with lotus and the special national relic of Go Thap, developing eco-tourism associated with the value chain of lotus products, especially OCOP products. At the same time, focusing on improving the quality of tourism services, visiting and experiencing gardens, agricultural tourism, community tourism destinations in Dong Sen tourist area as well as researching and implementing the Go Thap rural market model, helping to diversify activities with typical products of Thap Muoi, contributing to increasing income for the people.
Comrade Nguyen Van Hiep - Vice Chairman of Thap Muoi District People's Committee, said: "The work of promoting and attracting tourists has been promoted, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, in just 2 festivals (Ba Chua Xu Festival, Thien Ho Vo Duy Duong and Doc Binh Nguyen Tan Kieu's death anniversary) at the Go Thap National Special Relic Site, nearly 1.7 million tourists from all over the country have come to visit and experience. In addition, the Hung King's death anniversary on March 10, April 30 and May 1 holidays, National Day on September 2... also attracted a large number of tourists. The total number of visitors in the period of 2021 - 2023 is more than 2.4 million (an increase of nearly 340%), revenue is over 192 billion VND (an increase of about 320%) compared to the period of 2018 - 2020, creating regular jobs for more than 200 workers with an income of more than 7 million VND/person/month".
Traffic connection projects are prioritized for implementation, closely and effectively combined, serving multiple goals at the same time: transporting goods, traveling of people, restructuring agriculture and developing tourism. The traffic infrastructure system is invested in upgrading, regularly checking and repairing damaged and degraded roads, ensuring convenience for tourists to visit and experience tourist areas and attractions in the district.
Regarding tourism development support policies, up to now, Thap Muoi district has supported 14 community tourism sites, with a total amount of nearly 4.3 billion VND. In addition, Thap Muoi district regularly coordinates with tourism business groups; tourist areas, locations, and accommodation establishments to visit and survey the district's strong tourism models to promote investment, call for and link to build tours.
Based on the achieved results, in the coming time, Thap Muoi district will continue to promote propaganda and promotion of tourism, the image of the homeland and the people of Thap Muoi; closely combine modern media with traditional media to promote and raise awareness of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people, considering tourism as one of the key economic sectors of the district. Promote and introduce the cultural values and typical tourism products of Thap Muoi district in many forms, focusing on connecting with newspapers and radio stations to have many articles and reports introducing the local image (community tourism spots, delicious dishes, typical products, traditional cultural beauty, and people of Thap Muoi). At the same time, build and develop the district's specific tourism, effectively exploit the natural conditions, history and culture of the district, focus on developing community-linked tourism types such as cultural - festival - spiritual tourism, eco-resort tourism, agricultural tourism combined with experience. In particular, pay attention to developing eco-tourism associated with the lotus product value chain, making the image of lotus flowers and lotus products become unique tourism products, contributing to building the local image.
