On the morning of June 2, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management sent an official dispatch to the Office of the People's Committee of Nghe An province regarding strengthening and ensuring security and order in hospitals.

On May 31, an assault on a medical staff occurred at the Emergency Department of Nghe An General Hospital, causing a loss of security and order, negatively affecting medical examination and treatment, and the safety of patients and medical staff.
Implementing the direction of Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Chief of Office of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to urgently direct local law enforcement agencies to investigate and clarify the case and strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
Strengthening security and order at medical examination and treatment facilities, focusing on solutions to prevent and minimize cases of insecurity and order loss, including establishing a system to monitor and warn of risks of insecurity and order loss, implementing solutions to ensure security, safety and order at medical examination and treatment facilities.
Timely care and encouragement for the mental health of patients and medical staff affected by the above incident.
Recently, there have been a series of assaults on medical staff at many medical facilities. Typically, on the afternoon of April 25, at Thanh Ba District Medical Center (Phu Tho), while doctors were treating a 12-year-old patient who had anaphylactic shock after receiving an antibiotic injection, a male nurse was cursed at and kicked in the stomach by the patient's family.
Or at the Department of Resuscitation and Anti-Poisoning, Nam Dinh General Hospital, while doctors and nurses were treating a critically ill patient, the patient's family member repeatedly hit a male nurse in the head and face.
In response to many incidents of medical staff being assaulted, the Ministry of Health has requested hospitals to increase the installation of security camera systems in key areas such as the Examination Department, Emergency Department, on-call rooms and administrative corridors; at the same time, increase security personnel to promptly prevent acts of assault on medical staff, protect medical staff at work and patients under treatment.
