Specifically, at km 1403 in Da Nang city, this afternoon, soil on the slope overflowed onto the road surface with a length of about 20m, the landslide caused the entire route to continue to be blocked. Previously, on the night of October 29, the largest landslide on the route at km 1409 in Dak Plo commune (Quang Ngai) had cleared a stretch of the route.
Accordingly, the authorities have cleared the route for one vehicle to pass through the landslide. To ensure the safety of vehicles passing through the landslides, the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Police directly regulated the traffic.

Colonel Le Xuan Thuy, Deputy Director of Quang Ngai Provincial Police, said that there are currently many landslides that can affect traffic safety and especially the vehicles passing through here. What we fear most is that the positive slope will accumulate water and collapse at any time without warning. Therefore, we mobilized all available forces and means of the Provincial Police, coordinated with functional agencies, and mobilized people on both sides of the road to warn vehicles passing through this route. Currently, the route has only been temporarily opened at some points. For stuck vehicles, we have the traffic police go survey, if safety is guaranteed, we will guide them through the route, avoiding the risk of being stuck at both ends.
"In addition, we will move stuck vehicles to the highest, safest, and most convenient points for them. We are working with the people to mobilize and support food and provisions so that drivers can feel secure staying on the road before the entire route is reopened," said Mr. Le Xuan Thuy.

By 5 p.m., more than 20 vehicles were still stuck in the middle of the Lo Xo Pass due to the landslide. In addition, as the day progressed, the rain began to return, causing people to fear that the landslides would continue. At the temporarily cleared points, water from the slopes still flowed down with mud and soil. In addition, there were some new landslides on the route, although small, which greatly affected the traffic and travel of people and vehicles.

Directly inspecting the scene, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, directed that after clearing a section of the road, priority will be given to vehicles stuck in traffic. At the same time, priority will be given to vehicles serving rescue and relief work, and vehicles supplying essential goods such as medicine, food, and provisions to people when they are cut off during the storm season. The remaining vehicles must be diverted to other directions because it is very dangerous.
It is known that at the landslide point, rocks "covered" the Ho Chi Minh road at Km 1418+300 as reported by VNA on October 29, today the route has also opened a lane enough for 1 vehicle to pass.
