Bright spot in the cultural and artistic movement in Lam Giang commune

Located in the middle of the traditional land of Lam Giang commune, Phu Lam village is not only known as a gathering place of 7 ethnic groups living together but also a bright spot in the local cultural, artistic and sports movement, contributing to building cultural life in residential areas and enriching the new rural appearance.

Phu Lam village has 212 households with 756 people, is one of the leading villages in maintaining and developing effective economic models, especially the wood panel production profession. Economic stability has created favorable conditions for Phu Lam people to pay more attention to spiritual life, promoting the strong development of cultural and artistic movements.

Phu Lam Village Cultural and Arts Club is the backbone of the local cultural and arts movement. Established in 2018, with 35 members, the club maintains regular activities every Saturday and Sunday evening at the Village Cultural House.

Members are of various ages, from middle-aged to elderly. They meet, exchange, practice performing arts, singing, dancing, etc., creating a joyful and united atmosphere. According to Ms. Le Thi Cham, a member of the Phu Lam Village Cultural and Arts Club, after hours of hard work, going to the Village Cultural House to practice songs and dances together helps her and the club members feel more optimistic about life.

Not only do the club members hold regular activities, they also actively participate in performances in village and commune programs and events. It is worth mentioning that the members are enthusiastic and participate voluntarily, without being afraid of difficulties and hardships.

Lam Giang commune currently has 21 villages and each village still maintains an art and sports team/club. This contributes to effectively maintaining the movement to build cultural life in residential areas.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Lam Giang Commune People's Committee: Every year, the commune issues specialized resolutions and plans to organize major holidays of the year to create a vibrant emulation movement among the people. At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize people to actively participate in cultural and sports clubs at the grassroots level.

The cultural and artistic movement in Phu Lam is not only a simple entertainment activity but also a place to preserve and promote the national cultural identity. The dances and songs performed by club members during festivals and events have contributed to reviving long-standing cultural values, while creating a bond between generations.

With the cooperation of the government, the enthusiasm of the people and the spirit of community solidarity, Phu Lam village is gradually building a rich cultural and spiritual life, becoming a model for other villages and hamlets to learn from, contributing to the development of Lam Giang commune.
