Quang Ninh Power Company: 96% of customers have had electronic electricity meters installed.

Việt NamViệt Nam22/11/2024

In order to increase convenience and provide maximum ease for customers in using services, Quang Ninh Power Company has recently strengthened the automation of meter reading collection for customers.

By the end of 2024, all electricity customers in the province will have electronic meters installed.

According to statistics up to the present time, the company has installed over 444,500 electronic electricity meters for a total of over 462,000 electricity customers (achieving a rate of over 96%).

Accordingly, every month, when it's time for meter reading, the customer's electricity consumption is updated directly on the power sector's server system, ensuring accuracy, reducing errors, and increasing labor productivity. In particular, customers can also proactively check their monthly electricity consumption directly through the "EVNNPC CSKH" app provided by the Northern Power Corporation.

The use of electronic meters has also helped Quang Ninh Power Company reduce the number of workers needed to record meter readings, contributing to increased labor productivity. At the same time, the frequent data collection has enabled the company to easily monitor the operating parameters of each metering point, including current, voltage, full load, overload, and phase imbalances, allowing for timely corrective action, minimizing incidents, ensuring safe power supply, and improving reliability.

Currently, Quang Ninh Power Company is striving with determination to achieve the goal of installing 100% electronic electricity meters for all electricity customers by 2024.
