On September 19, upon hearing that several provinces and cities in Laos have been flooded and landslides caused by prolonged rains and floods in recent days, causing loss of life and property, General Secretary and President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man jointly sent messages of condolence to General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane.
In the telegram, our senior leaders expressed their concern over the current flood and landslide situation in Laos; conveyed their most sincere and deepest condolences to the senior leaders and Lao people, especially the local authorities and affected families; believed that under the leadership and close attention of the Party, State, Government and National Assembly , the Lao people will soon overcome the current difficulties and stabilize their lives; affirmed that the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and People of Vietnam are always by the side of the Lao people.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a message of condolences to Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith./.
