In 2023, the business community, cooperatives, and people in the area faced many difficulties that significantly affected banking operations in general and Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch in particular. However, thanks to the dynamic, creative, decisive, and effective management of the Agribank Ha Tinh Provincial Branch leadership and the unity and efforts of the employees, all targets and plans were completed exceeding expectations.

Identifying capital mobilization growth as a key objective, from the beginning of 2023, Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch assigned business plans to its Type II branches. Leveraging the effective implementation of Agribank's competitive interest rate mechanism and the successful execution of its prize-winning savings program, Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch achieved significant capital mobilization growth. Specifically, through the "Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit 2023" program, the branch mobilized 1,294 billion VND.

Thanks to diversified capital mobilization channels, by December 31, 2023, the total mobilized capital of the entire branch reached VND 21,640 billion (an increase of VND 2,523 billion, equivalent to a 13.2% increase compared to the beginning of 2023 and reaching 105.8% of the plan assigned by Agribank). The mobilized capital of Agribank's Ha Tinh provincial branch always adequately and promptly meets the investment and lending needs for economic development, ensuring business efficiency, liquidity safety, and meeting the required operational safety ratios.
Credit growth exceeded Agribank's average credit growth rate.
Due to the post-COVID-19 impact, the economy's capital absorption capacity slowed down in 2023. Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch flexibly managed interest rates and proactively implemented various appropriate solutions to reduce lending rates, supporting customers with its own internal resources.

Over the past year, the unit has adjusted lending interest rates downwards eight times, ranging from 1.3-2.5% per year for the manufacturing and business sector; 2-3% per year for the consumer sector; and 3-4% per year for the real estate business sector... in order to alleviate difficulties for customers. In particular, to fundamentally change the situation and boost credit growth, the branch established steering committees led by Deputy Branch Directors to visit each Type II branch and discuss solutions to increase outstanding loan balances.
According to Mr. Bui Quang Thai – Director of Agribank Nghi Xuan: Thanks to the decisive and direct guidance from the branch's Board of Directors, Agribank Nghi Xuan has been able to clearly identify difficulties and obstacles and suggest effective solutions for credit growth. As a result, in 2023, Agribank Nghi Xuan's outstanding loan balance reached VND 1,998 billion, a 17% increase compared to 2022, making it the best-performing unit in terms of outstanding loan balance growth within Agribank's Ha Tinh province branch.

Throughout its operations, Agribank Ha Tinh Provincial Branch has closely followed the directives and guidance of the State Bank of Vietnam and its head office; focusing all resources on investing in production and business, priority areas in accordance with the Government's policies, and key projects, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Mr. Vo Huy, Deputy Director of Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch, emphasized: "The unit has intensified communication efforts regarding credit policies to help customers understand and access them, especially interest rate support packages and preferential interest rates. We prioritize capital for production sectors, serving agriculture and rural areas, and credit sectors in accordance with Government Decree 55/2015/ND-CP; providing loans with a 50% interest rate subsidy according to Resolution No. 51/2021/NQ-HĐND of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council and other preferential interest rate programs of Agribank..."

Over the past year, the branch has effectively implemented a series of credit policies aimed at supporting and resolving difficulties for the economy, creating momentum for the business community, cooperatives, and people to develop production and business. Total outstanding loans as of December 31, 2023 reached VND 13,549 billion, an increase of VND 1,404 billion, equivalent to a growth rate of 11.6% compared to the beginning of the year. The branch's credit growth rate is much higher than the average credit growth rate of Agribank (7.4%).
Besides its business activities, Agribank's Ha Tinh Provincial Branch always actively participates in social welfare activities in the area. In 2023, the branch sponsored over 14.7 billion VND for education, healthcare, and the construction of charitable houses. At the recent "Warm Spring - Loving Tet" program, Agribank Ha Tinh Provincial Branch was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its significant contributions to social welfare activities. |
