Professor Nguyen Viet Tien said that US-HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a method that uses ultrasound waves to precisely focus on the tumor, creating high temperatures in the diseased area to destroy pathological tissue. Unlike traditional surgery, US-HIFU does not require incisions, does not cause bleeding, and at the same time minimizes the impact on healthy tissue.

Professor Tien assessed that the US-HIFU technique has outstanding advantages: safe, non-invasive, leaves no scars, reduces the risk of infection; helps reduce or completely eliminate tumors. Recovery time is quick, patients can return to normal activities after just a few days; less pain, no need for general anesthesia. In particular, preserving fertility is an outstanding advantage.
