Suspend group of students who beat and humiliated 8th grade female student

After the Gio Linh District People's Committee held an interdisciplinary meeting to handle the incident, the district directed theEducation Department to temporarily suspend the students involved in the beating and humiliation of female student Hoang Thao N (class 8E, Gio Linh Town Secondary School).

Accordingly, 4 students of grade 8C of Gio Linh town Secondary School including: Le Nguyen Bao T., Hoang Thi N., Ngo Thi Thanh N., Truong Dang Quynh C. and 2 students of grade 10 of Gio Linh district Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, Ngo Thi Quynh T. and Nguyen Thi Nhu Q. were suspended from school.

In addition, the Disciplinary Council of the schools also held meetings to review the responsibilities of homeroom teachers and administrators.

Currently, the local police are consolidating the case file to handle the students who violated the law. The handling must ensure proper procedures, strictness, education and deterrence.

Student Hoang Thao N., the victim in the incident, has stabilized after being treated at a medical facility. Her family has now taken her home to care for her.

Previously, as Van Hoa reported, on the afternoon of April 24, two 8E students from Gio Linh Town Secondary School, Hoang Thao N. and Nguyen Thi Thuy D., went to a shop at the back gate of the school to drink water. There, these two female students met four 8C students from the same school and two 10th grade students from Gio Linh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center.

Due to a previous conflict, this group of students invited each other to the school restroom and beat and humiliated Hoang Thao N., then recorded the clip and spread it on social media. In the clip, the students continuously brutally beat female student N., used obscene words, threatened and forced N. to kneel, and the students even rushed in to pull the victim's shirt buttons. The above incident has caused outrage in public opinion.
