Delegation from Busan Veterans Hospital (Korea) visited and worked in Lao Cai province

From December 2 to 5, 2025, the delegation of Busan Veterans Hospital (Korea) visited and worked in Lao Cai province under the cooperation program signed in September 2022 between Busan Veterans Hospital and Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital. The delegation consisted of 5 members led by Mr. Lee Jeong Zoo - Director of the Hospital, along with leaders of several departments, professional offices, nurses and administrative staff.

The working delegation paid a courtesy visit to the People's Committee of Lao Cai province.

On the morning of December 3, 2025, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the People's Committee of Lao Cai province. Comrade Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the reception. At the meeting, the provincial leaders expressed their joy in welcoming the delegation to visit and work; at the same time, they provided general information about the natural conditions, the socio -economic development situation of the province after the merger, as well as the orientation for the development of the health system in the coming period.

Immediately after that, the delegation continued to work at the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health . Comrade Nguyen Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Health chaired the meeting, along with leaders of specialized departments. The two sides discussed in detail the contents of cooperation, especially training, technology transfer, professional support and priority forms of cooperation in the period of 2025 - 2026.

The working group discussed and signed an adjustment to the cooperation agreement between the two hospitals.

At Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1, the hospital's Board of Directors and leaders of departments/offices received and worked with the delegation. As the unit directly receiving and implementing cooperation activities, the hospital reported on the results of the past time, and discussed directions for expanding professional cooperation, clinical training, nursing and rehabilitation.

During the program, the two sides signed an adjustment to the medical cooperation agreement; agreed on the contents to be implemented in the coming time to continue strengthening the friendly cooperative relationship, promoting experience exchange and enhancing professional support between the two hospitals.

The working trip of Busan Veterans Hospital is a practical activity, contributing to concretizing the medical cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea; at the same time opening up many development opportunities in human resource training, nursing, rehabilitation and transfer of specialized techniques to the health sector of Lao Cai province in the coming time.
