General Hospital No. 2: Many activities in response to World Day for Premature Babies

The theme of World Premature Birth Day 2025 is “A solid start, a bright future for premature babies”. In response to this day, Lao Cai General Hospital No. 2 has organized many practical and meaningful activities such as: direct consultation combined with health education communication for pregnant women and mothers on nutritional health care and newborn care, breastfeeding, implementing Kangaroo care methods, especially for low birth weight/premature babies; hanging banners, banners, and slogans in the hospital grounds to spread the humane message of caring for premature babies.

World Prematurity Day highlights the importance of comprehensive health care, both physical and mental, for preterm babies, their parents and caregivers, especially in volatile contexts such as natural disasters, epidemics or social crises. A solid start is not only timely medical care but also companionship, sharing and spiritual support from family, community and medical team.
