With the extreme and harsh weather conditions due to heat waves in the summer of 2023 and the transition to the rainy season across the country (May and June), the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 397 on proactively implementing urgent measures to respond to the risk of heat, drought, water shortage, and saltwater intrusion; Vietnam Electricity Group issued Official Dispatch No. 2466 on promoting electricity saving in the dry season.
