Japan has three names: Zion Suzuki, Sugawara and Takuma Asano. Of these, goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has been criticized quite a lot for his poor performance. This goalkeeper has made quite a few mistakes in the tournament.
In the match against Vietnam, Zion Suzuki reacted rather slowly to Bui Hoang Viet Anh's header, allowing Tuan Hai to score the rebound. Then, he pushed the ball away unsafely in the match against Iraq, allowing Aymen Hussein to head the ball into the net. In the match against Indonesia, Zion Suzuki also reacted slowly when Sandy Walsh scored.
Right-back Sugawara replaced Tomiyasu in this tournament. Sugawara failed to complete the task when he was constantly penetrated on the right wing. The third person, Takuma Asano, was almost missing in the 2023 Asian Cup and did not contribute significantly to the club's attack.

The three Korean names included are center-backs Kim Min Jae, Lee Ki Je and Park Yong Woo. Football Channel criticized Kim Min Jae: "With his world class status, Kim Min Jae needs to prove more. Korea conceded 6 goals in the group stage. The Bayern Munich center-back cannot escape responsibility."
The remaining 5 players in the worst Asian Cup squad are Salem Al-Dawsari (Saudi Arabia), Harib Al-Saadi (Oman), Wu Lei (China), Kamorov (Uzbekistan) and Al Hammadi (UAE).
The Vietnam team lost all three matches in the group stage but no player was in this squad.
