Customs - Business Dialogue: Removing obstacles in warehouse business activities

Representatives of Lang Son province customs agency answered and clarified opinions of businesses at the conference.

- On the morning of April 9, Lang Son Provincial Customs Department coordinated with the Customs Supervision and Management Department (General Department of Customs) to organize a customs-business dialogue conference in 2024.

Attending the conference were leaders of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department and the Customs Supervision and Management Department; 32 enterprises operating warehouses at border gates in the province.

In the past, warehouse businesses in the province encountered a number of difficulties affecting their business activities such as: the customs management and supervision software of the customs agency was regularly upgraded, causing warehouse businesses to not be able to upgrade and synchronize in time; there was no general guidance from the customs agency on customs inspection and supervision for each specific type of goods; the content of the coordination regulations signed between the customs agency and the warehouse business enterprises is currently not suitable for the conditions of warehouse business activities under current conditions; the settlement of problems arising in warehouse business activities by the customs agency for businesses was sometimes slow;...

Representatives of enterprises operating in warehouse business raised some opinions and recommendations to customs authorities at the conference.

During the conference, representatives of enterprises operating in warehouse business raised many opinions and recommendations to customs authorities to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of operating warehouse business at border gates.

After listening to opinions from businesses, leaders of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department and the Customs Supervision and Management Department answered questions and concerns of businesses operating warehouses at the province's border gates. The customs agency also received recommendations from businesses to recommend to the General Department of Customs to study and amend some customs regulations in the management and supervision of warehouses for import and export goods to facilitate the operations of warehouse businesses.
