"The weakness of the Vietnamese team is probably still our physique and partly our physical strength, but we always have the will and spirit to fight with all our might," Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha shared before the July 17 training session of the Vietnamese women's team in New Zealand. She and her teammates are rushing to prepare for their first appearance at the World Cup.

The Vietnamese women's team will face the US, the Netherlands and Portugal - the world's top teams. This is a very difficult challenge for Thanh Nha and her teammates. They need encouragement and morale from Vietnamese football fans.

Midfielder Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha emphasized the determination of the Vietnamese women's team before entering the 2023 World Cup.

“Currently, the spirit of the Vietnamese women's team is at its highest and is always ready to fight, trying to bring the best things to those who have always loved and accompanied the team. I hope everyone will continue to support the Vietnamese women's team, the whole team will try their best for the flag and the shirt,” Thanh Nha sent a message to the fans.

Before the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team will play four friendly matches with U23 Poland, Germany, New Zealand and Spain. These rehearsals will help coach Mai Duc Chung and his team gain good experience to reduce confusion when entering the World Cup arena.

"After the last two matches, my team and I have gained a lot of experience when competing with strong teams. We are also in the process of completing so that we can bring what we have learned to the upcoming tournament and have good matches," Thanh Nha said.

After the match with the Spanish women's team, the whole team had 1 day of recovery training. After that, Thanh Nha and her teammates returned to training with higher intensity and were ready for the opening match against the US team.
