Don Duong: Opening of summer activities in 2023

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of June 2, in response to the Month of Action for Children 2023, the People's Committee of Don Duong district organized the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children and the opening of summer activities 2023 in Pro commune.

Awarding scholarships to students in difficult circumstances in Pro commune

Over the years, along with leadership in all aspects of economic, political, cultural, social, security and defense life, the Party Committee, government and people of Don Duong district have always identified taking care of children as an important task in leading the implementation of political tasks in the locality.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Don Duong district Tran Hung Dung emphasized that, continuing to promote the results achieved in previous years, the Steering Committee for Summer Activities of Don Duong district has developed a summer activity plan with the theme of Joining hands to reduce harm to children with a variety of contents, including entertainment activities for children, life skills education experience programs, review and career guidance activities, culture, physical education, sports...

To successfully complete the summer activity plan, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Don Duong district requested departments, branches, socio-political organizations, especially members of the Summer Activity Steering Committee to focus on performing well the following tasks: Strengthening propaganda, dissemination, raising awareness and responsibility of agencies and organizations; relevant departments and branches, based on their functions and tasks, closely follow the direction of local Party committees and authorities, advise on concretization and effective implementation of the Law on Children.

At the same time, the District Summer Activities Steering Committee, communes and towns need to effectively organize and implement the local summer activities plan for 2023; thereby, creating the best conditions in terms of facilities and space for children to have a place to live and play that is convenient, friendly and safe.

In addition, actively mobilize and encourage agencies, organizations and individuals to implement policies, programs, plans, projects, build works, and mobilize social resources to care for children...

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Don Duong district awarded 30 scholarships worth 300,000 VND each, to promptly encourage and support students with difficult circumstances, trying to overcome difficulties to study well.

In addition, at the program, Don Duong District Youth Union organized fun activities for children to warm up and get ready for a fun and rewarding summer.
