On July 25, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to outstanding policy families in the city.

At Ban Co ward, the delegation visited the family of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Be (born in 1940). Kindly inquiring about her health and life, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his emotion and respect for her great sacrifices for the cause of national liberation and unification. He wished her a long, happy and healthy life, to be a strong spiritual support for her children and family.

On the same day, the delegation visited the families of Mr. Tran Van Trung (born in 1967, Nhieu Loc ward) and Mr. Huynh Lap Hien (born in 1966, Nhieu Loc ward) - both 1/4 class disabled soldiers; visited the family of Mr. Pham Van Dong (born in 1952, Xuan Hoa ward), a resistance activist who was exposed to toxic chemicals.

Visiting the wounded and sick soldiers, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his deep gratitude for the sacrifices and loss of part of their bodies and health in the cause of building and firmly protecting the Fatherland.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi sent his best wishes to all comrades and their families to always live happily, healthily, and happily, and to continue to be a shining example for their children and grandchildren to follow. At the same time, he expressed his hope that comrades would stick together, contribute ideas, and work together to build the locality to develop more and more.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City always remember and cherish the contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the country.
He affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to make efforts to implement the policy of gratitude, promote the tradition of “remembering the source of water when drinking” and “remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit” so that the good moral values of the nation are always remembered by today’s and future generations. Ho Chi Minh City is determined to build and develop more strongly to be worthy of the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations.
