Enterprises accelerate production and business

In early 2025, Truong Hai International Transport and Logistics Company Limited (THILOGI, Truong Hai Group) put into operation berth No. 2, Chu Lai International Port, capable of receiving ships with a capacity of up to 50,000 tons; at the same time, completed dredging the Ky Ha waterway to a depth of -9.3m to accommodate large ships entering and leaving the port. THILOGI also cooperated with RCL shipping line to open a fixed Chu Lai - India shipping route, aiming to expand the international maritime transport network.

Thanks to these steps, in the first 8 months of 2025, the volume of goods passing through Chu Lai International Port reached more than 2.8 million tons, an increase of 15% over the same period last year. Of which, container and bulk cargo both reached 1.4 million tons, maintaining growth momentum in the context of a volatile logistics market.

Mr. Phan Van Ky, Director of Chu Lai International Port (Nui Thanh commune) said that recently, the local customs sector has implemented many practical solutions, creating conditions for logistics enterprises such as THILOGI to effectively perform import-export services.

Customs officers and civil servants are ready to support and directly guide in detail the procedures, problems in sorting and checking documents, ensuring the customs clearance process takes place quickly and stably, even when the volume of goods increases and regulations change constantly.

Operating in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu Ward), Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the major import-export enterprises. It is estimated that in the first 9 months of 2025, the company will export goods worth 65 million USD, basically approaching the 2025 target of 95 million USD.

To achieve this result, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Director of the company, the customs sector has promoted administrative procedure reform and applied electronic declaration software to shorten the process and increase transparency in logistics activities.

Previously, customs clearance of goods took several hours, but since the customs sector used the VNACCS/VCIS automatic customs clearance system, it only took 10-20 minutes. Thanks to close coordination, the company's goods were cleared smoothly, reducing storage costs, ensuring delivery progress and enhancing reputation with customers.

Customs accompanies businesses

From July 1, 2025, the Customs Branch of Region XII will carry out management within the territory of Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province. According to Mr. Pham Duy Nhat, Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region XII, with a wide scope of management, the unit identifies administrative reform as one of the top priority tasks, throughout to accompany and support businesses.

The Department is implementing two business support programs: encouraging businesses to participate in import-export activities; encouraging businesses to voluntarily comply with customs laws.

The settlement of administrative procedures ensures timeliness and does not cause inconvenience to citizens and businesses. Customs regularly reviews files to ensure that no files remain in the operational systems, processes files in accordance with regulations, and does not have any late files.

The Department regularly organizes to collect opinions on the assessment of the quality of administrative procedure settlement through the Danang City Public Service Portal at https://www.dichvucong.danang.gov.vn. At the unit, the reflections and recommendations are classified and processed promptly according to the correct authority, ensuring the rights of individuals and organizations.

The development of customs-business and stakeholder partnerships has always been a focus and a core task of the unit. As of mid-August 2025, the border/outside customs department of the branch had organized 6 dialogues with businesses, through which 59 problems of businesses were supported and resolved. Import-export turnover through the city increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2024.

In the coming time, the Customs Branch of Region XII in general and the customs in Da Nang city will continue to maintain online information receiving channels, hotlines and propose many solutions to facilitate trade, contributing to improving the effectiveness of implementing customs policies and laws and performing public duties at the Customs Branch of Region XII, promoting the city's socio -economic growth.
