Dong Nai temporarily suspends some procedures for issuing and exchanging driving licenses

According to the Dong Nai Department of Transport, the driver's license renewal software is still being adjusted to complete, so the Department is temporarily suspending the acceptance of some driver's license renewal procedures. However, priority is still given to renewals for licenses that are about to expire.

On January 8, according to news from the Dong Nai Department of Transport, the unit sent a notice to departments, branches, sectors, units, and localities to inform people in the province about the temporary suspension of receiving some procedures for issuing and exchanging driver's licenses.

According to the announcement of the Department of Transport, the department has now updated the point of receiving documents at the Provincial Public Administration Center (No. 236, Phan Trung Street, Tan Mai Ward, Bien Hoa City). However, the software for issuing and exchanging driving licenses from the Vietnam Road Administration is still being adjusted to complete.

Therefore, while waiting for the complete software upgrade from the Vietnam Road Administration, and to facilitate the urgent needs of the people, the Department of Transport will temporarily prioritize receiving application files for renewal of driver's licenses that have reached the deadline for renewal and are still valid for 15 days before the expiration date. For cases that are not in priority, the application for renewal will be temporarily suspended until further notice.

According to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, at this time at Dong Nai Provincial Public Administration Center, the number of people coming to renew their driver's license is quite large. On average, the center still receives dozens of renewal application files every day.

Previously, at the end of 2024, due to a lack of blanks, Dong Nai had to stop issuing and exchanging driver's licenses for a long time.
