Dong Nai: People work all night to wrap Chung cake and Tet cake to send to people in flooded areas

On the night of November 22 to the morning of November 23, the atmosphere at the Trang Dai Ward Cultural House (Dong Nai province) became bustling when hundreds of people joined hands to wrap Chung cake, Tet cake and prepare necessities to send to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions who are heavily affected by the severe floods.

Each person has their own job.

All the ingredients from rice, green beans, pork to dong leaves, banana leaves were donated and supported by the people. Each person had a hand, one group washed the rice, peeled the beans, washed the leaves; another group cut the meat, prepared the filling; the women were in charge of wrapping the cakes. The finished cakes were immediately transferred to the cooking area with more than 10 large pots operating all night.

Pots of banh chung and banh tet are kept ablaze all night long.

Clothes, instant noodles, drinking water, medicine and other necessities were also sorted and packed for transport. Local youth and union forces were on hand to support and ensure progress and safety during the preparation process.

Clothes and necessities were also donated by women.

To promptly deliver relief goods to the flooded areas, Trang Dai ward mobilized public vehicles and heavy trucks ready to depart in the early morning of November 23. These charitable shipments demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and sharing of Dong Nai people, contributing to providing practical support to the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome difficulties after natural disasters.
