Elaborate, methodical, creative and meaningful propaganda campaign

Introducing this special information campaign and meaningful interactive exhibition, journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, shared that the communication campaign of Nhan Dan Newspaper was carefully prepared and built 6 months ago, deployed on all publications, including Nhan Dan Daily, Nhan Dan Weekend, Nhan Dan Monthly, Thoi Nay as well as on Nhan Dan Newspaper's digital platforms, demonstrating the heroic tradition of the newspaper considered the eldest brother of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.

“The communication campaign of Nhan Dan Newspaper on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is not simply a political mission, but also a practical action to orient the people and the younger generation towards noble values. We want to create a valuable digital archive, a space to remember and honor history. We hope that readers of all generations, especially the younger generation, will find here inspiration and motivation to continue the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese people,” emphasized journalist Le Quoc Minh.

“This is the first time a large-scale exhibition will be held at the Nhan Dan Newspaper office facing Hoan Kiem Lake, aiming to attract a large number of people and tourists. This is also the result of the innovative efforts with a high sense of responsibility of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the work of propagating important events of the country, continuing the glorious tradition of the newspaper considered the eldest brother of Vietnam's revolutionary press”, the Vice President affirmed.

The special information campaign of Nhan Dan Newspaper is deployed on all publications, including Nhan Dan Daily, Nhan Dan Weekend, Nhan Dan Monthly, Thoi Nay as well as on Nhan Dan Newspaper's digital platforms.

Each publication organizes many elaborate thematic lines, with mutual coordination to create many layers of massive, rich and profound content. The topics have the participation of many leading historical and military experts, living witnesses, from heroes of the armed forces, generals, soldiers on the battlefield as well as urban commandos, to ordinary people who made the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

Nhan Dan Newspaper also launched a special publication "From historical milestones to aspirations for power" by the Special Topics Department, with the participation of many figures, reviewing the proud milestones of the country after 50 years of unification.

In addition, to enhance the experience for readers, from April 14, Nhan Dan Newspaper has also "launched" a special information page at https://thongnhatdatnuoc.nhandan.vn/. The page includes many sections such as "Decisive Battles", "Memories of Unified Spring", "Today's Vietnam", "Nhan Dan Newspaper Delivers Victory News"... helping to relive a heroic historical period, with a special way of telling stories through vivid images and sounds.

The site integrates an interactive 3D sandbox, bringing readers to the space of the ancient battlefield, the fighting spirit of 50 years ago. This special “StoryMap” application connects the past with the present using augmented reality (VR) technology, opening a “gateway” to take viewers to the exact locations that marked the victories of the previous generation. This technology also continues the “touch points” initiated by the “Love Vietnam” project, deployed in 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The most attractive is the interactive exhibition at the Nhan Dan Newspaper campus. This is the first time a large-scale exhibition has been held at a “check-in” location facing Hoan Kiem Lake, creating conditions for people and tourists to easily access the special products of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

The interactive exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day takes place from 9am to 5pm every day, starting from April 23 to May 4, 2025, at the Nhan Dan Newspaper campus (71 Hang Trong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).

The exhibition includes 11 enlarged photos of the front pages of Nhan Dan Newspaper published on April 30 of the years 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020. Among them, the impressive red headline announcing the victory next to the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, published on the front page of the May 1, 1975 issue.

The exhibition also recreates historical battles, starting from the Central Highlands Campaign to the peak of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign. Viewers can also interact by scanning QR codes to view information about the battles via the website with novel interactive graphics.

Not only that, in the exhibition space, for the first time, 3D mapping technology was used to project the campaign vertically on Nhan Dan newspaper. This mobile model is also expected to be brought to schools so that students can experience history lessons. Readers can also project 3D mapping at home according to instructions, helping each person feel the historical moment of 50 years ago.

At the ceremony, historical witnesses of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising such as Colonel Nguyen Van Luc, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, commander of the Decisive Victory Squadron that attacked Tan Son Nhat Airport on April 28, 1975; Corporal Lu Van Hoa, driver of the T54B tank with serial number 843, which crashed into the side gate of the Independence Palace; journalist Tran Mai Huong, former General Director of Vietnam News Agency, former war correspondent of Vietnam News Agency who was present at the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975, shared about the historical moments of the nation...
