On August 4, speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , the leader of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat ( Lam Dong Province) said that he had reported to the provincial authorities regarding information on social networks about tourists saying that the price of drinks at a coffee shop in the area (in the old Ta Nung Commune) was too high.

The drink bill and social media posts claim the price of the coffee is too high.

Specifically, a tourist posted on social media about the bill for drinks at this coffee shop with a total price of 870,000 VND for 8 drinks. Of which, the price of coffee is from 90,000 - 110,000 VND/cup.

This tourist also wrote on social media: "What a pity for Da Lat, looking at this drink bill, I will never come back."

This tourist cited that a good milk tea in a fancy shop in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City is 70,000 VND/cup, here it is 120,000 VND/cup. Even at Starbucks, an Americano coffee is only 60,000 VND, on the Marina Han River cruise watching the Dragon Bridge breathe fire is only 65,000 VND, here it is 100,000 VND. Other drinks are also expensive.

"The price they listed is public, we stopped and bought it so we accepted it. It's just a pity for Da Lat. The weather is wonderful so maybe they also sell coffee at sky-high prices" - the tourist wrote. This post was shared by many fanpages with large followings on social networks.

The leader of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat said that as soon as they got the information, they sent the authorities to check. Initially, this coffee shop posted the prices publicly for customers to choose when buying drinks; there was absolutely no cheating or forcing customers to buy at high prices.

Furthermore, according to the leader of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat, the above coffee shop is a famous local place, investing in building many beautiful landscapes and works for tourists to drink coffee, take photos and check-in at landscapes, flower gardens, etc., so the price is higher than other places, which is understandable.

Famous coffee shops invest in building many structures and miniature landscapes to serve coffee drinkers.

The locality has reported to the provincial authorities and is continuing to clarify this incident.

There are also controversial opinions on social networks, in which many people who have been to this place think that the above mentioned cafe is a beautiful tourist destination, with many miniature landscapes, tourists can visit freely without time limit... so the price is reasonable and not too expensive.

Mr. Tung Nguyen, a resident of Ta Nung commune (old), shared that the above coffee shop has been a famous place for many years, attracting many tourists to check-in. "

With the projects they invest in like that, such a price is reasonable. Moreover, the shop lists the full price so it is fair to buy and sell, if the customer doesn't like it, they can choose another location, so don't post such "exposure" posts" - Mr. Nguyen expressed his opinion.
