Putting into operation phase 2 of the project to increase the capacity of T1 Binh Long transformer station from 40MVA to 63MVA

The initial design of the 110/22kV Binh Long station was 2MBA 40MVA, but with the rapid load growth of the Chon Thanh - Hon Quan - Binh Long area. At the same time, with the province's investment invitation policy, the 110/22kV Binh Long station could not meet the power supply capacity for the loads in the above districts and towns. Therefore, EVN SPC and PCBP have implemented phase 1 and phase 2 to increase the capacity of the T1 and T2 Binh Long transformer stations from 40MVA to 63MVA, phase 1 was energized on November 23, 2024.

T1-63MVA Binh Long Substation has been energized and put into operation.

With a total investment of over 54 billion VND from foreign capital for public investment (commercial loans and basic depreciation capital of Southern Power Corporation). PCBP is the project management unit.

At the site, under the direction of EVNSPC Deputy General Director Doan Duc Hung, PCBP Board of Directors and close coordination between EVNSPC technical experts, Southern Electrical Testing Company, construction unit and PCBP departments, T1-63MVA Binh Long transformer was successfully energized, fully complying with the prescribed standards.

The early completion of the project has promptly met the load demand of Hon Quan district, Binh Long town and the backup connection of the medium voltage grid with 110kV transformer stations in the area; ensuring continuous and stable operation of the grid, improving reliability, promoting socio-economic development of Hon Quan district, Binh Long town and neighboring areas; in line with the power development plan of Binh Phuoc province for the period 2016-2025 with a vision to 2035. This is also one of the important projects of the electricity sector to contribute to promoting socio-economic development and calling for investment in the province.
