According to statistics, the most serious landslide point is at km 1136+850 (Phuoc Lanh - Van Canh section), with the roadbed washed away to an average depth of 9m. In addition, many sections of the route have had their rockbed washed away, trees falling and blocking the tracks, signal poles broken, power outages, paralyzing the communication and dispatching systems.
The railway industry is urgently repairing the problem, however the repairs depend on the weather and water flow, so the time for the route to be reopened has not been determined.

On November 7, trains SE5/SE6 ( Hanoi - Saigon) and SE21/SE22 (Da Nang - Saigon) will temporarily stop running.
It is expected that the railway industry will transport about 1,500 passengers from Tuy Hoa station ( Dak Lak ) to Dieu Tri station (Gia Lai). While waiting for the transfer, passengers will be served free snacks and drinks.

In addition, the railway industry applies a free ticket refund policy for passengers traveling through Tuy Hoa station (even-numbered trains) and Dieu Tri station (odd-numbered trains) on November 7 and 8.
