(Dan Tri) - Due to heavy rain causing landslides, the concrete road in village 2, Tra Don commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam was "broken" into pieces, causing traffic disruption.
On the afternoon of November 25, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Ho Van Loi - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Don commune, Nam Tra My district - said that due to heavy rain in the past few days, the road in village 2 (Ong Deo peak) of the commune, leading to Ong Phung school, was eroded and "broken" into pieces.
The landslide has made it very difficult for people in village 2 to travel. Currently, due to the landslide, this road is cut off and vehicles cannot pass through.

In village 2, there is Ong Phung school (belonging to Tra Don Primary Boarding School) with 36 primary and preschool students, and 3 teachers. In addition, this village also has a school on Ong Deo peak.
Mr. Le Huy Phuong - Principal of Tra Don Primary Boarding School - said that the school has notified students and teachers that if they see signs of danger, they must stay home from school and move to a safe place.
Mr. Vo Nhu Son Tra - Chief of Office of Nam Tra My District People's Committee - said that heavy rain also caused landslides at 5 points on several other roads.
On Route 3 (above the old Tra Tap Commune Police Headquarters), rocks and soil have slid down onto the road, causing difficulties for vehicles passing through; Route 6 has a landslide at a negative slope point, threatening the concrete road. The landslide has washed away the negative slope, creating a "frog's jaw" below the concrete road, endangering people and vehicles.
Route DH9, near the East of Truong Son, village 3, Tra Mai commune, had a landslide on the negative slope, threatening the traffic route to village 3.
National Highway 40B had rocks and soil on the slope of the positive slope slide onto the road surface, causing mud and difficulty in traveling.
Route DH7 (at km6+200, Mang Di village area, Tra Nam), soil and rocks from the positive slope overflowed onto the road surface, causing mud and difficulty in traveling.
On the morning of November 25, leaders of Nam Tra My district directly inspected the scene and directed the overcoming of consequences.
For landslide sites, localities promptly put up danger signs and signs prohibiting heavy trucks, and directed maintenance units to temporarily handle the situation to ensure the circulation of small trucks and cars.
