*Pig price in the Northern region

According to records, pork prices in the Northern region were "quiet" in the first session of the week.

Of which, Hanoi is still at 67,000 VND/kg, the highest in the country. Following are the provinces of Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Yen Bai , Tuyen Quang and Vinh Phuc, which are purchasing at 66,000 VND/kg.

In the remaining localities, the price of live pigs remained stable at around 64,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.

*Pig price in the Central Highlands region

In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs has not changed. Currently, the price of live pigs in this region fluctuates between 62,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan are the three provinces trading at 62,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.

*Pig price in the Southern region

Pig prices in the Southern region today also remained unchanged following the general trend.

Traders in Binh Duong, An Giang and Ca Mau continue to buy at 65,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. The remaining provinces and cities buy and sell at a difference of 63,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.

* Localities in Thanh Hoa province are urgently implementing the second month of sanitation, disinfection, environmental sterilization, and disease prevention for livestock and poultry in 2024; organizing full vaccination of livestock and poultry.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuyen, a veterinary officer of Cam Luong commune, Cam Thuy district, said: "Disinfectant spraying has a very high disease prevention ability. Because it prevents bacteria and viruses, it is recommended that livestock farmers spray at least once a week, spray around the barn, inside the barn... to reduce the risk of disease transmission."

Mr. Le Duc Ngoan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa City, also said: "The ward has assigned agricultural and veterinary officers to go to households and farms to instruct people on disinfection, cleaning, especially antibacterial drugs."
