On the morning of September 1, starting from the World Heritage site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, more than 100 people in Ao Dai cycled through famous streets and tourist attractions in Hanoi such as Ba Dinh Square, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Phan Dinh Phung Street, O Quan Chuong, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Opera House, Trang Tien...
The first Ao Dai event connecting Hanoi Tourism and Heritage in 2023 is an activity in response to the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; towards the 2023 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival which will be held at the end of October. Besides the goal of promoting and introducing Hanoi tourist destinations, the event aims to honor the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai associated with heritage and tourism, contributing to preserving and developing the traditional cultural values of the nation.

Sharing about the idea and meaning of the event, artist, cultural researcher and head of the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club Nguyen Duc Binh said: "The image of people wearing Ao Dai cycling around the old streets of Hanoi will contribute to honoring the cultural heritage value of the capital, honoring the beauty of traditional Ao Dai costumes. The event helps people and foreign tourists have a clearer view and understanding of the traditional Ao Dai of Vietnam in particular and the beauty and values of Hanoi's heritage in general."

This cycling group included many Hanoians who love Ao Dai and foreigners living and working in the capital. The images of Ao Dai, bicycles and heritage on an autumn morning in Hanoi left a good impression of the capital in the hearts of the people and tourists.
Leaders of the Hanoi Department of Tourism hope that the experience of wearing Ao Dai and cycling will be an activity that attracts a large number of tourists when coming to Hanoi, aiming to develop bicycle tourism products that are environmentally friendly.
