EVN requests Quang Tri province to assist with procedures at the Quang Trach Power Center.

On September 26th, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee announced that the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) had recently held a working session with the Provincial People's Committee regarding the implementation of power energy projects in Quang Tri province.

According to EVN's report, several power generation projects are currently being implemented in Quang Tri province, including: the Quang Trach Power Center Project, the Quang Tri Thermal Power Plant Project, and the AMI Savannakhet Wind Power Project.

The Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant Project comprises four sub-projects: the infrastructure of the Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant, the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, the Quang Trach II LNG Thermal Power Plant, and the Quang Trach III LNG Thermal Power Plant.

According to EVN's leadership, Quang Tri province has recently shown interest in, assisted in, and directed the implementation of power energy projects in the province, especially regarding land compensation and clearance, and creating favorable conditions to ensure construction for projects within the Quang Trach Power Plant.

To ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of projects and to meet deadlines, EVN leaders requested the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee to consider supporting several related issues, such as: expediting the appraisal and approval of compensation plans for outstanding cases; promptly handing over complete compensation and land clearance documents for items where land clearance has been completed, and preparing confirmation reports as a basis for EVN to complete procedures according to current regulations.

During the meeting, representatives from departments, agencies, and localities of Quang Tri province also raised some difficulties and obstacles encountered during the implementation process and presented their proposed plans for the projects in the coming period.

In discussions with investors, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, acknowledged EVN's efforts in implementing power energy projects in the province over the past period and highly appreciated the clear analytical reports and recommendations regarding the obstacles of each project and construction submitted by EVN and related units.

To ensure the efficient and timely implementation of power generation projects, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, requested EVN to closely coordinate with relevant units and localities to review implementation plans.

The provincial leaders instructed relevant localities to proactively coordinate with departments, agencies, and investors to expedite land clearance; and assigned specific tasks to agencies, units, and localities to work alongside EVN to promptly resolve obstacles for each project in order to accelerate construction progress and complete power supply projects in the province as soon as possible, contributing to bringing many benefits and socio -economic development to the locality and the country.
